Renew Your Skin with RF Microneedling

The concrete jungle we call New York is where dreams come true for many. At Future Bright Dermatology, we’re here to make your aesthetic dreams a reality with RF microneedling.

RF microneedling can address several skin concerns. It involves pricking the skin with tiny needles and creating micro-injuries to trigger your skin’s natural repair response. It also involves targeting the skin with radiofrequency energy to promote hyaluronic acid, collagen, and elastin production.

Benefits of RF Microneedling

RF microneedling has become widely popular because of the many benefits it offers, which include:

  • Improving skin elasticity
  • Reduce scarring from acne
  • Reducing fine lines and wrinkles
  • Reducing dark spots and hyperpigmentation

Aside from the vast benefits, RF microneedling has become a gold-standard treatment for people with darker skin tones.

What Is RF?

Devices that use RF technology, such as triLift, generate low-frequency electromagnetic waves that penetrate and heat your skin. These treatments help stimulate new skin cell production and the production of 2 types of proteins, collagen and elastin, to create smoother, firmer skin.

What Is Microneedling?

Microneedling involves using a handheld device with small needles that create micro-injuries in your skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural healing process and promote the production of collagen and elastin.

The potential result? Improved skin texture with less visible scars, wrinkles, and fine lines, and a more even skin tone. Microneedling can be performed on several parts of the body with results that make it a great option for skin rejuvenation.

What Happens During RF Microneedling?

Before the procedure, a numbing cream is applied to your skin to help alleviate any discomfort you may feel while receiving treatment.

Afterwards, a device with tiny needles is gently applied over your skin to make tiny micro-punctures, which can offer results as effective as fractional laser resurfacing with less discomfort and downtime.

This device also produces radiofrequency waves that go into the skin, further stimulating the production of collagen and elastin compared to standard microneedling.

The length of the needle ranges from 0.5 millimeters to 1 millimeter. If you have deep acne scars or pockmarks, a longer needle may be needed to penetrate deeper into your skin.
